Kathryn Vedder (Katie)

Kate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Clarinet Performance and a Master’s in Music Performance from universities in Colorado. Over the past twenty years, she has built a thriving career as a private music teacher, working with students of all ages and abilities to help them grow in skill, confidence, and creativity.

In addition to her extensive teaching experience, Kate founded and directed the Symphonic Anime Orchestra, which toured across the United States for ten years, blending classical performance with modern popular culture. Her performance background spans chamber ensembles, orchestras, and jazz bands, giving her a broad and adaptable approach to music education.

Now based in Harrogate, England, Kate teaches adult group classes at Rossett Adult Learning, maintains a busy private studio from her home, and teaches through Harrogate Music School. Her philosophy is simple — music should be accessible, encouraging, and fun.
